May 2026 Update
Greetings in the healing name of Jehovah Rapha, my healer.
It is not without frustration that I write this. Yet even in the midst of this latest storm, I know God is on His throne and His perfect will for me is being accomplished toward a perfect end.
Most of you know I struggle with migraines and tension headaches but after 3 month of a daily headache, I went to my orthopedist. An x-ray showed some serious issues in my cervical spine. An MRI was ordered and a referral to the spine doctor given. I visited him yesterday. I have moderate to severe degeneration at the two lowest vertebrae as well as multiple bone spurs along the upper and lower neck. The discs in the problem area are bulging and also herniated. Needless to say, I’m in a good deal of pain and my shoulder muscles are a hard knot.
So, here is the plan. I began a 15 day steroid taper to combat the inflammation. I am going to Physical Therapy where we are attempting to loosen the muscle mass with dry needling then stretch and strengthen the area. Finally, on May 26, I will get an epidural in the area which will burn nerves off on both sides of the offended vertebrae. My follow-up appointment is June 4 at which time the decision will be made that I am healed or we proceed with surgery.
Obviously, this is not what I had in mind for this summer’s ministry opportunities. The CA trip had to be canceled. But I trust a sovereign God who holds me in the Palm of His Hand. There are medical workers that need Jesus or need to be encouraged. And this gives me an excellent time to work on my next book. Also, there are local motorcycle events I can drive the car to & minister. This is not what I would have chosen but I learned long ago, I’m not in charge of my life, my JESUS is.

I covet your prayers for complete healing, strength to glorify God in the midst of suffering and wisdom on what to do and probably more important what not to do! I thank you for your love, support & prayers. They all 3 sustain me.
