January 2024 Christian Riders Ministry Update

Greetings in the wonderful, powerful, all-sufficient name above all names, JESUS CHRIST.

The new year is upon us and I am excited to enter it. God has given me a wonderful month in December to rest, reflect, pray and prepare for this year. To say I’m ready is an understatement. 2023 was a hard year for me physically with 2 operations. My hand is healing from the November 8 CMC joint replacement though I am not cleared to ride until mid to late February. Even in my weakness, God was faithful to place me at the motorcycle events. People were ministered to, prayed with and had the Gospel shared. I always trust God for the increase. Though I see some fruit immediately, I know He continues to work on the others. I have specifically spent time in prayer about every event and each divine appointment I will encounter in 2024 and I know God will greatly bless that time spent with Him.
January begins with a busy month. I leave NC (4th) in the truck pulling the 5th wheel bound for First Christian Church, Cape Coral, Fl where I will participate in their annual Missions Conference. I have been given the honor of speaking at the Ladies luncheon (7th) and then sharing the ministry on Tuesday evening (9th). Leaving there, I will go straight to the Port of Tampa for Gibtown Bike Fest (12-14). The Jesus Bike will be on display in that bike show for 2 days so I will be able to share the Message with many people. Then, it’s north to Holiday Christian Church, New Port Richey which will be my base until February 5. The Church there is located across the street from Gulf Coast Harley Davidson so I have an outreach very close. I will be at First Christian Church, Clearwater, Fl on Jan 21. January 24-28 takes me to South Daytona Christian Church for their Faith Promise Rally. Quite a full and exciting month!
February 4th, I will update the Holiday Christian Church on the ministry then move to Weeki Wachee on the 5th. I will be speaking at Church in the Wildwood the following Sunday (11). Thunder by the Bay, Sarasota, takes place the following weekend (16-18). This is a long running event for Christian Riders and the Jesus Bike is again on display in the bike show. Finally, I finish out the month as I head to Daytona (27) for BIke Week (March 1-10).
As you can see, I have quite a full schedule. To accomplish all this, God has revealed to me that I must rest in Him more in between events. This has traditionally been very hard for me as I love to stay moving and doing. But I am learning this discipline and know I will be better and more effective in the long run for it. Jesus knows me better than I know myself so if He says I need it, I’m about learning how to accomplish the task.
Please keep me in prayer especially during the motorcycle events. It is a key to the outcome of much of the ministry. Dwight Moody always had a prayer room under his stage when he preached. And he was one of the most effective 19th century preachers, even in spite of a 5th grade education. Pray for the salvation of the bikers, vendors and people I will come in contact with, please.
I thank-you for your prayers, support and love. Each of you have made it possible for me to follow the desire of my heart, serving Jesus in the biker community for 33 years come May 28, 2024. I desire to do just this, Lord willing, until my final breath or until all the bikers know JESUS! May your new year be filled with a renewed joy, commitment and passion for Jesus Christi and His Kingdom.
In God’s Grip,
Beth
